Moms deserve a little break sometimes too. Being a mom and taking care of everyone can be exhausting, and it can start to have a negative effect on your mind and body. I try to take care of myself whenever I can. As much as I am enjoying every second of being a mom to my baby boy, I also feel exhausted and upset sometimes.
Upset because I am still trying to figure out a balanced schedule, and trying to do all the things I use to enjoy before I became a mother. I know it sounds selfish, but motherhood is a tough job and while I try to be an amazing mom to my baby, I feel like I am forgetting to take care of myself. But I think slowly I am trying to figure out how to balance pampering myself and (hopefully) being a great mama.
I figured while my son is sleeping, I can squeeze in some “me time” by doing things I enjoy. Some things I enjoy to do are reading a good book, and taking care of my skin. I recently brought a new face mask from Sephora, it is the Origins’ Rose Clay mask. I also bought a new body lotion from Bath & Body Works; it is the Magic In The Air lotion. And the book I bought is Rupi Kaur’s newest book, The Sun and Her Flowers.
Origins Rose Clay Mask:
I am a huge sucker for face masks. My recent obsession is the Rose Clay mask by Origins. One it smells just like a fresh bouquet of roses. But most of all, it leaves your skin feeling rejuvenated and super smooth. It also doesn’t require a long time; just 10 minutes to get a glowing and fresh skin.
Bath & Body Works: Magic In The Air Body Lotion:
There is no doubt that Bath & Body Works have the best products when it comes to body lotions. My recent favorite is the Magic In The Air lotion. I prefer scents that are not fruity, strong, or too sweet. This lotion is perfect in the sense that it is mild, and smells..well like magic. It is perfect blend of almond flower, iris, and vanilla. It also feels like silk on your skin.
Rupi Kaur’s The Sun and Her Flowers:
She is not a simple poet; she is an artist with her words. The way she writes her poetry, creates such a perfect illustration of her words and reaches deep inside her readers’ hearts. I have read her previous book Milk and Honey, and I had to get her latest addition as well. I love how each poetry is short yet captivating. I highly recommend anyone that loves poetry and who is looking for a good book to read.
So mamas let me know how you pamper yourself, and what are the things that you all love!
